The classic logic puzzle: clear every safe square on the board using the numbers as clues, without detonating a hidden mine. A separate flag mode makes marking suspected mines workable on a touchscreen, where right-click is not available.

How to use it

1. Tap or click a square to reveal it. Numbers show how many mines touch that square.
2. Use flag mode, or right-click on desktop, to mark a square you believe hides a mine.
3. Use the numbers to work out logically which neighbouring squares are safe.
4. Clear every non-mine square to win, without ever revealing a mine.

Frequently asked questions

How do I flag a mine on a touchscreen?

Switch to flag mode using the toggle above the board. With flag mode on, tapping a square marks or unmarks it instead of revealing it, which replaces the right-click most desktop versions use.

What does a number on a revealed square mean?

It is the exact count of mines hidden among that square’s immediate neighbours, diagonals included. A revealed square with no number means none of its neighbours are mines, which typically opens up a wider area automatically.

Is the first click ever a mine?

No. Standard Minesweeper convention guarantees your first click is always safe, which is what lets you start solving immediately rather than guessing blind.

What happens if I click a mine?

The round ends immediately and every mine on the board is revealed, so you can see the full layout before starting again.
